The School Day

Children attend school for 32.5 hours a week.

All children and parents enter through the gates on The Bourne Estate. Children are expected into school between 8.45-9.00am (unless they are in breakfast club or morning sports which start at 8.00am, gates close at 8:15 am promptly).

The Bourne Estate entrance for children and parents opens at 8.45am

The general school day times are as follows:

Mornings:

Nursery and Reception: 9.00 am - 12:00 pm

Key Stage 1: 9.00 am - 12:00 pm

Key Stage 2: 9.00 am - 12:30 pm

Afternoons:

Nursery and Reception: 1:00 pm - 3:25 pm 

Key Stage 1: 1:00pm - 3:25 pm

Key Stage 2: 1:30pm - 3:30 pm

Children come into the school at 8.45 and head directly to their classrooms where there are staff on duty. Children access additional reading time between 8.45-9.00, then lessons begin promptly after registration at 9.00am.  Please ensure you are on time, so that your child has their full learning time.

All gates to the school are locked at 9.03am. After this time, all visitors and parents/carers must call the office in order to gain access to the school site.

All gates are unlocked 10 minutes before the end of the school day.
