To support your phonics lessons at home I've made a class log in for the Oxford Owls Reading Tree website. On here are a selection of the books your children would be reading at school.
Starting from Monday 18th May you can access these books via a username and password that will be texted to you.
Instructions on how to access the books via the website will be provided in Monday's Home Learning Powerpoint.
Those in Jayne's group will be reading the green Read Write Inc texts.
Those in Rina's groups will be reading the red Read Write Inc texts.
If you are in my groups, please focus on the lilac Read Write Inc texts.
Encouraging your child to read these books alongside Ruth Miskin's Daily Phonics Sessions will help their fluency and make them more confident using their phonics!
Hope you are all safe and well. If you have any queries, please contact the school and I will do my best to support you.

It was lovely to speak to you all last week and I hope you're enjoying the sunshine from wherever you are!
I'm aware that some of you have printers and I'm uploading extra home learning tasks and pencil control sheets to reflect this.
I know it's difficult to tackle home learning in these tough times, anything at all you can do to encourage letter formation and writing simple sentences will help your child in preparation for Y1.
Please, if you have any concerns or queries don't hesitate to get in touch with the school and I will do my best to support you!
Hope you are keeping healthy and safe,

Summer term curriculum letter and map
Hope you've all had a lovely Easter and took advantage of the nice weather for your daily walk.
The theme for our Summer learning is planting and growing :). We will be growing a bean in a bag, exploring what plants need and reading books by Dr Suess - a fantastic author who writes hilarious stories like The Cat in the Hat and Fox in Socks. This is a great term to focus on rhyming and writing simple sentences to push your children towards the Early Learning Goal. I will be uploading Maths and Writing tasks for you to complete daily. Examples of how to structure your day can be seen in my previous post below.
I hope you all enjoy growing your beans and reading Dr Suess!
I miss all of you very much!
Daily Tasks Summer 1
Monday 20th Home Learning Tasks
I have provided a series of tasks, crafts and projects for you to do over the Easter Holidays.
As well as these activities, please can you do daily phonics practise (scroll down for access to Ruth Miskin's daily phonics sessions), daily letter formation practise (scroll down for the link to Twinkl for pencil control sheets, or draw a dotted outline for your child to trace), Joe Wicks' daily PE sessions and dancing with Jumpstart Jonny.
All of these things help your child in their physical development, but it is also important for your child to explore and learn through play so don't feel pressure to be doing one of the above activities every minute of the day! Fit them in when you can.
Here is an example of how you can set out your day:
8.45am count how many people are the in the house, sing the days of the week song. Let your child know the plan for the day.
9.00 PE with Joe Wicks
9.30 Phonics with Ruth Miskin
10.00 handwriting/letter formation practise
10.45 break/snack time
11.00 Maths - start with a number song from youtube or one you might know already (10 Green Bottles Hanging on the Wall)
A short Maths activity using White Rose or an activity I have provided.
11.15 Counting forwards and backwards from 20
11.30-45 dancing with Jumpstart Jonny
12.30 go for a walk (if you are able)
1pm Literacy - start with an appropriate story or more letter formation practise
1.15 Literacy task
1.30 child chooses a toy to play with (give them a choice out of two or three options and rotate daily)
2pm Craft/sensory activity (See Literacy Task Day 4 for Easter Craft ideas)
2.30 dance break
2.45 tidy up

Maths Task Day 4 Extension - write number sentences to go with your ladybird spots!
Dear parents and carers,
I hope everyone is safe and well at home where possible!
I am currently posting daily writing and maths activities for you to do at home with your children. I have tried to pick activities that are easy, fun and Easter related to support your child's learning during this difficult time.
As well as these activities, it's well-worth tuning into Joe Wicks' 9am PE sessions, Ruth Miskin's 9.30am phonics and doing some dancing with Jumpstart Jonny!
All the links to the above activities are provided below, as well as my set activities.
Remember, out of all the areas of learning in Reception, it's important to communicate with your child, ask questions and encourage their curiosity wherever you can.
