Good Morning Year 5,

It's Friday! I have uploaded today's lessons. I will continue to upload your lessons on the school website under our class page, so please check the class page and purple mash daily.

Continue reading and practicing your times tables, I will be checking your reading records when you return.

Have a great day.

See you soon.

Lessons for Friday

Year 5 Recommended Books

Lessons for Friday 17th July

If you've missed any days' work, just go to the blog here and find the day you need.

Summer Term 2 Curriculum Map

I am posting work daily on this page. Please see the links above for the day's work. We understand that some children have limited internet access; please just complete as much as you are able to.

Purple Mash: https://www.purplemash.com/sch/stalbansec1n

All the children have a login for this website, and I have set a number of tasks for them to complete.

ReadTheory: https://readtheory.org/

All the children have a login for this website, which allows them to answer questions about short texts, and earn points. All the children's passwords are pullman1.

Spelling Shed & Maths Shed: https://play.edshed.com/login

I have signed all the children up to this fantastic Maths and spelling platform. Each child has assigned sets of spellings and Maths questions at their level. They can play games at different difficulty levels to practise, and even compete against each other if they are online at the same time. They also earn points as they go. Please give it a go!

Hit the Button

This is a great site for practising Maths skills through games.

London Grid For Learning

Lots of videos and resources have been made free for children on this website - there is a whole section on Roman London which would be particularly useful!

BBC Bitesize KS2

This site has videos and activities covering the whole curriculum. Again, the Romans resources are excellent!

World eBooks

This website has made all of its children's eBooks free to read. There are thousands of them covering all kinds of topics.

Duolingo

This website, which is also an app, is a great way to learn languages. Try and improve your French!

Audiobooks

This site has links to free YouTube audiobook versions of children's classic books including The Jungle Book, Peter Pan and Black Beauty. They are also available to download as PDFs to read.
