Nursery Funding

Nursery Funding

The Government has introduced new policies which will affect free nursery places in Camden.

Information about nursery funding in Camden:

  1. All 3 and 4 year olds are eligible for a free early education place of 15 hours a week for 38 weeks per year (term time only) or the equivalent of 570 hours stretched over the whole year.
  2. 3 and 4 year olds with working parents may be eligible for an additional 15 hours per week (30 hours in total) term time or the equivalent of 1140 hours stretched over the year.
  3. 3 and 4 year olds not eligible for the additional 15 hours for working parents, may be entitled to Camden’s Enhanced Offer of an additional 15 hours per week term time or stretched over the year.  Universal hours must be taken in Camden to receive this enhanced offer.
All parents who would like more information about the funding, need to visit the Camden website:

All parents who then wish to secure a nursery place need to complete the relevant forms which can also be found on the website.

All children who would like to secure a place at St Alban’s CE Primary School Nursery, must note that the school does not fund nursery places.  If parents do not meet the criteria for the additional 15 hours per week for working parents (b) or the Camden Enhanced Offer (c), then the following charge will apply:

£6.50 per hour

If you do not register or complete the Camden Enhanced Offer form and send it off, we will not be able to start your child in our Nursery full time.

The process is simple, but if you require help with any part of the process, please do contact the school office at .
