Covid Guidelines for September 2020

IF YOUR CHILD SHOWS SYMPTOMS OF COVID-19

  • Your child must not come into school.
  • Call school to inform them that your child is showing symptoms and state what these are.
  • Arrange a test for your child (contact the NHS test and trace service online OR telephone NHS 119)
  • Your child must self-isolate for 10 days whilst awaiting test results
  • Other members of your household must self-isolate for 14 days.

If the test is negative, call school to tell them the result.  Your child can stop self-isolating as can your household, and can return to school.

If the test is positive, call school IMMEDIATELY to tell them the result.  Your child must continue to self-isolate for 10 days and your household must continue to self-isolate for 14 days.  After the 10 days, your child can return to school ONLY if they do not have remaining symptoms of a high temperature, cough or anosmia (change in sense of taste or smell)

  • School will then contact the Health Protection Team and follow their instructions.
