Admission to School for children aged four
All admissions to the school for Reception places happen through the local authority and you must fill in the form and return it to the Crowndale Centre by the given date. As a voluntary aided school, a supplementary form must also be filled in. This can be collected from the school office. Children are admitted to school in the Autumn term of the year they are five.
An introductory programme of visits for children and parents takes place the term prior to admission. We work hard to ensure that starting school is a calm and natural progress from pre-school. Parents/Carers have the opportunity to meet the staff and discuss the start of school at a meeting arranged in the Summer term.
If you are thinking about sending your child to us for Reception 2017, please ring the school office to arrange a visit. We would love to show you around. Look at the class pages section of our website to see what fantastic things we get up to in Reception.
Admissions to School for children in Years 1,2,3,4,5 and 6 and in Reception if it is after the start of the school year.
The school is responsible for directly admitting children. We welcome applications from all children whose parents/carers live or work in the area. The school’s authorised admission number is 30. If you are thinking about sending your child to our school we would love to show you around! Please ring the school office.
Admissions are at the discretion of the Governing Body and if a class is over-subscribed, applicants are considered according to the admissions policy.
Admission to School for nursery children
Parents/Carers are invited to put their child's name on the school waiting list after the child's 2nd Birthday. It is important to note that a nursery place does not guarantee a place in reception. Children are admitted to the nursery in the term after they turn 3, if places are available.
Every child is entitled to full time nursery education thanks to Camden funding this. Please phone the office for further details.
Prior to beginning our nursery, children and parents/carers will receive a home visit from our nursery staff. This provides the opportunity for the family to meet the staff in their own environment.
